Hello! I'm Dr. Kristin Fellows. I grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota,
and majored in Biology at the College of St. Benedict and St. John's
University in St. Joseph and Collegeville, Minnesota. I
then continued my education at Northwestern College of Chiropractic in
Bloomington, Minnesota, earning a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2002.
In order to best serve my patients, I have spent several years refining my
spinal adjusting technique and continually attend lectures on spinal adjusting,
pathology, physiology, and radiology. Once a month, I meet with eleven other
chiropractors so that we can share our challenging cases and provide insight to
one another, critique each other on our adjusting skills, and come up with new
ideas on how to help our patients. I welcome challenging cases, such as those
who have severe neurological problems, mental and physical special needs, and
those who have already had spinal surgery.
I have always been active in the communities I have lived in, as a volunteer at
the V.A. hospital, crisis pregnancy center, and church nursery, as well as
teaching Sunday school and Bible studies to children and youth. I reside in
Burnsville with my husband, John, and our three-year-old son, Grant and
one-year-old daughter, Sophie.
Dr. Kristin's Personal Chiropractic Story:
When I was ten years old, I fell fifteen feet from a tree in my backyard. The
ongoing pain from that fall made me feel more like an old woman than a ten
year old girl - until I was introduced to chiropractic care.
Since then, I have been a regular chiropractic patient and have benefited from
the various "side effects" chiropractic care offers: a strong immune system, a
high level of energy, and a body that functions at optimal level.
After I began chiropractic school, I was introduced to a style of chiropractic
that I had never encountered before. The Gonstead technique of chiropractic
took my health to a higher level than I had ever known - even with other types
of chiropractic adjustments. Gone are the days of excessive menstrual bleeding,
an irregular cycle, and debilitating cramping. Thank goodness I no
longer need harmful medications for this condition that plagues so many
young women.
